Greta Thunberg is a fifteen-year-old Swedish activist on global warming. You may have seen a video of her speaking about climate change on social media. But who is she?

She is known for being straightforward and voicing her opinion at such a young age. She urges action immediately to the climate crisis. She speaks at many assemblies and public events.

She has organized a school climate strike with other students. She spent many school days outside the Swedish parliament calling for action towards global warming by holding up signs.

She has been featured in a Time Magazine and has her own TED talk. Greta has won many awards and honors such as the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, she was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, and is even named as one of the 100 most influential people of 2019.

Her fame has brought her many people changing their habits when it comes to helping the environment. The Thunberg family has given up air travel and eating meat.

She has even written two books about making differences in the world.

Greta Thunberg has been having a major impact on global warming and many are starting to listen, even though she is young. She is showing the world that a single voice has the power to start a global conversation.
