Feel like going on a spontaneous last minute adventure this Labor Day weekend? Take advantage of the three day weekend and do something interesting with your weekend before you get locked into tests and assignments. Here are four interesting places to visit that are within a four hour radius of Wellington and will surely cure any case of three day weekend boredom.

1) The Dali Museum, St Petersburg, FL (3 hours, 29 minute drive from Wellington):

The Dali Museum, located in St. Petersburg, Florida is the perfect destination for fans of art and surrealism. The museum is, as the name suggests, dedicated to the life and works of famed artist Salvador Dali, known for his surreal artwork. Aside from the art exhibits, the museum also offers a winding garden as well as a cafe where one can enjoy Spanish cuisine with stunning views of the waterfront. The Dali Museum is a must for both art fans and adventurers alike.

2) Downtown Delray, Delray Beach, FL (37 minute drive from Wellington)

For those who want to visit a lively beach town full of shops and restaurants, look no further than Downtown Delray. Located just thirty seven minutes away from Wellington, Downtown Delray offers plenty of beach shops and hip restaurants right on the beach. During the day, this popular beach haven maintains a fairly relaxed environment, perfect for soaking up the final rays of summer sun. If you are a fan of literature, cats, and the life of classic writer Ernest Hemingway, The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum would be quite an interesting experience. Following a four hour drive from Wellington, take a splendid tour of the author’s home and learn interesting facts about his life while forty to fifty six-toed cats run about. While you’re there, be sure to explore the lovely city of Key West and watch the sun set on the beach!
