Dreaming of a white Christmas in South Florida? Those dreams are now a reality thanks to the nightly snowfall atCityPlace in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. From now until December 31st, CityPlace will create a white Christmas every hour and each snow session will last about 10 minutes.

Many Floridians never get to experience snow in the winter, so the chance to spot some is really special.

“I think because Florida never gets snow, Floridians crave it. I have seen the snow in city place and even though it’s not real snow its beautiful to see the black night sky covered with white flurries of snow,” Lindsay Gurewitz, senior, said.

There are also many other attractions at Cityplace during the holiday season that draw people in. The fountains dance to Christmas music and are lit by seasonal red and green lighting. There is also great free entertainment of all music genres on the music stage right in front of Brookstone.

That’s not all, City place also has plenty of shoppingwith great sales. Many people can be seen bustling about with shopping bags.

“I’m drawn to CityPlace because of the shopping with a wide variety of stores, the outdoor atmosphere, and the free concerts,” Sierra Tyska, junior, said.

Another feature that is intriguing visitors to CityPlace is the many dining options. There are many cuisines ranging from Japanese restaurants such as Satos and to Ruth’s Chris Steak House all decorated for the holiday season.

“I usually go to dinner with friends and then we walk around to take pictures and listen to music. Its really beautiful in this time of the year,” Melanie Garcia, senior, said.

Crowds are flocking to the festivities of Christmas spirit and holiday cheer. There really is something for everyone at CityPlace this time of year.
