With Spring right around the corner many things are changing, not just the weather but also clothing. Jeans are becoming shorts, sweaters are becoming t-shirts and everyone is getting a bit tanner.
Lavenders, teals, yellows, and pretty much all pastel colors are in for the Spring season. Floral and striped patterns are spotted often through the months of March through May.
“I don’t really change my style too much; I just tend to wear a lot more shorts,” Lauren Alana, Junior, said.
Bermuda shorts are something that we haven’t seen for a while but are now visiting the fashion community once again. Pastel colored jeans are also a fresh trend being seen. Light wash jeans are also making a large comeback for the beginning season.
Oversized white t-shirts are a big hit this time of the year. Whether it be a flowing sheer t-shirt or a shirt with intricate details like rhinestones or lace. They are all in.
On the high-end, of things blazers and dresses are showing quite a bit. Lace skirts, collared dresses, neon shoes are all a part of this new fashion season. Instead of accessories accompanying being within a neutral color scheme like the winter season, they now match the outfits color scheme. A bright orange dress paired with an orange purse or a cobalt blue jumpsuit with blue tinted sunglasses, is where it is at.
To add a pop of color in men’s fashion, bright ties and colored pocket squares are becoming a fashion. Yellow, lavender, or even light pinks are showing up in men garnishes.
Shoes are also making an ongoing change. Women shoes are becoming all nude, patient leather with neon heels. The heel is also showing a change. Instead of the normal stiletto heel, it has morphed into a squarer flat heel that looks very chunky.
Something that most people don’t wear on a daily basis is being worn. Particularly in the runway life. Big hats. Hats abnormal of size are showing up all around. Of course only in all neon, bright colors.
Spring is all about having fun and being free, and neon and bright colors represent fun times. This year is a year of change in the fashion district, which even included men’s wear in the bunch this time around.
Fashion is a way to express yourself, and a proven fact is that wearing bright colors makes you feel happier, which is always a superior feeling. So just enjoy the spring months and dress vividly.
