The WHS Boys Track team did an outstanding job at the Class 4A Regional 3 Championships

The 4 x 800m team (Rodolph Adonis 1:59.77, Christian Previlma 2:06.03, Charlie Richardson 2:01.30, and Tyler Asuncion 2:07.34) advanced to the 4A State Championships running 8:14.44 to shatter their previous season best of 8:30 at Districts and the school record of 8:27.54(2015); 4th place. (All 4 of their splits were personal best performances)

Rodolph Adonis had a busy day on both relays and running prelims/finals for the 400m. He advanced to 4A States by running 50.6 in the 400m dash, another personal best performance finishing 4th (separation between 3rd and 4th was 0.01 seconds)

The 4 x 400m team (Rodolph Adonis 50.60, Christian Previlma 51.42, Thomas Ferguson III 51.59, and Dorian Chin 55.56) led the race until the last leg, ran 3:29.17 their season best to finish 8th; 51.59 was a major PR for Thomas who just 3 weeks ago ran a personal best of 54.80.

Dorian Chin finished 7th in the Triple Jump with a jump of 12.88m or 42′ 3.25″

*The boys have broken 3 school records this year:

4000m (1200, 400, 800, 1600) Distance Medley Relay (Rodolph Adonis, Drew Jackson, Christian Previlma, and Charlie Richardson) ran 11:22.45 (3rd place, Dwyer Panther Relays 3/14/19)  previous school record 11:24.08 (2006)

800m (100, 100, 200, 400) Sprint Medley Relay (Drew Jackson, Dorian Chin, Christian Previlma, and Rodolph Adonis) ran 1:37.45 (2nd place, Dwyer Panther Relays 3/14/19) previous school record 1:40.02 (2014)

4 x 800m 8:14.44  (Rodolph Adonis, Christian Previlma, Charlie Richardson, and Tyler Asuncion) 4A Reg 3 Championships 4th place, previous school record 8:27.54 (2015)
