Adopt a Pet, Change a Life!

The holiday season is the perfect time to adopt a pet. At Peggy Adams Animal Rescue, there is a wide variety of pets to adopt or foster including many different breeds of dogs and cats. They are available for adoption and fostering year-round, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all visitors are required to make appointments prior to visiting. Welcoming a pet into a home can have life changing effects on both the owner and the pet itself. Many pets that are rescued by Peggy Adams have been treated very poorly in the past. Peggy Adams believes that all animals deserve a chance at a better life.

Peggy Adams currently has 164 pets available for adoption. Their two pets of the week are Shadow and Hopper. Shadow is a large, male dog. He is a mixed breed and is only a year and four months. He is a big dog and weighs an astounding 54 lbs. Hopper, on the other hand,is a Domestic Shorthair cat. He is also a male and is roughly two years old. He is good with both cats and dogs.

Peggy Adams helps many pets every year. Just last year, Peggy Adams helped 37,082 cats and dogs. That many pets in just one year is an amazing achievement! Their vision is “to create a community where 100% of the adoptable animals find loving homes and no animals will be euthanized because of pet overpopulation.” They try really hard to ensure that every pet gets a chance at a good life. Adopting a pet can help the owner learn valuable life skills about responsibility and can help give the pet a chance at a better life.
