What sounds like a tale from a Tarantino film occurred Wednesday, October 30th when a pregnant woman in Lithia, Florida was at home with her husband and daughter when two armed assailants entered her house and subdued the father with pistol whips and kicks.

The mother dodged a bullet on her way to her bedroom where she grabbed the family’s rifle and fired one shot that struck one of the robbers.

“When he came toward the back door in her line of sight, she clipped him,” “He made it from my back door to roughly 200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing.” Said the woman’s husband.

The other assailant fled the scene after seeing his partner get hit, he still remains unidentified. Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that they don’t believe the attack was random rather a targeted attack on the family.

King, the woman’s husband, suffered a fractured eye socket and sinus cavity as well as a concussion and 20 stitches.
