Tropical storm Karen has formed in the Atlantic. As of right now it’s heading to Puerto Rico at seven mph, with forty mph winds. It could possibly come to Florida.

It’s far too early to know if Karen will threaten the US, but it may make a left turn and come to Florida. It isn’t predicted to become a hurricane within the next five days.

Heavy rain, mud slides, and flash flooding are possible for Puerto Rico. Tropical storm warnings are in affect for Puerto Rico, the mainland U.S. and British Virgin Islands.

Puerto Rico is still recovering from Maria from 2017..

There have been sixteen named storms since August 21, breaking the record of fifteen named storms.
