In recent times, the vegetation on Southern Boulevard has been destroyed in order to make way for the development of modern society. This is a common acceptance in today’s ideals and is one that is hindering forward progress.

New projects on South Boulevard include a new Publix plaza, including a tractor supply store and a Dunkin Donuts, and a new development.

According to a survey of Wellington residents, the attitude that living space is more important than the natural world is very prevalent. Not only this, but a large part of those who state the natural world is more important are not firm on their views and feel that, under certain circumstances, they would not mind undertaking the process of deforestation, the tearing down of plants in order to clear space.

Due to this very controversial and sensitive subject, it is up to us as a species to decide if we should preserve the natural beauty of the earth or clear the plants in order to make room for the new inhabitants of areas.
