The superhero world lost a legend on November 12th, 2018.  Stan Lee, the creator of some of Marvel’s most beloved heroes passed at age 95 due to cardiac arrest.

He brought one of the most creative minds, bringing characters to life with his comics, and allowed them to be created into screenplays. As many Marvel movies were made, being instantly popular in theaters, Lee had started the pattern of appearing in cameos in each film that was made.

Lee had been suffering from aspiration pneumonia. In addition to being ill, he lost his wife of 69 years during the summer of 2017. Even though Lee struggled with these problems he still managed to keep his positive attitude towards his fans and loved ones. His repeated catchphrase “Excelsior!”, latin for “ever upward,” has spread throughout the world as one of the most single positive sayings. Connecting him and his geniality, “Excelsior!” will always be remembered

It was a sad day for Marvel fans. Luckily for us, we will get a chance to see his last cameo in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, set to be released In May of 2019. Long live a legend and his legacy. Stan Lee was a real superhero.
